The Experience
From Booth Interaction to Creative Exploration
At the HOVARLAY booth, students participated in a hands-on session using HOVARLAY Creator, our no-code AR platform.
During the session, students explored how their own work whether class assignments or design projectscould be transformed into AR experiences:
- turn static visuals into interactive content
- experiment with storytelling in a new medium
- experience their ideas in a more engaging and dynamic way
The Digital Transformation Journey
Challenge
Rethinking Design From Static Outputs to Interactive Experiences
The challenge was to introduce a new layer of creativity where ideas are not just seen but experienced, many student projects today are still presented through static formats such as:
- posters
- digital visuals
- presentation slides

Strategy
Turning Design Projects Into Interactive, Immersive Storytelling Experiences
Through HOVARLAY Creator, AR was positioned as an extension of design, not a replacement\,By removing technical barriers, the focus remained on creativity, experimentation, and expression.
Students were guided to:
- rethink how their projects could become interactive
- explore new storytelling possibilities
- enhance their work with immersive elements

Outcome
Interactive Learning in a Live Event Environment
Students actively engaged with the AR experience throughout the session.
They were able to:
- experiment with AR in real time
- see immediate results of their ideas
- understand how AR can enhance their design work

The Impact
Empowering the Next Generation of Creative Thinkers

Encouraging New Ways of Thinking, Designing, and Storytelling Through AR
- Exposure to AR as a creative medium
- A deeper understanding of interactive storytelling
- Inspiration to push beyond traditional design formats
- Confidence to experiment with new tools and ideas
The Result
The AR workshop at FAD IconFest demonstrates how even simple creative projects can be elevated through interactivity.
The AR workshop at FAD IconFest demonstrates how even simple creative projects can be elevated through interactivity.
By integrating AR into student workflows, design is no longer limited to what is seen but expanded into what can be experienced, What was once static becomes:
- engaging
- immersive
- memorable
